Love this. Do you think it has become more minimal because we are now accustomed to what scroll bars do? I think so and if the had the 2012 scroll bars in 1985, I would think users would get confused. Thanks for sharing and awesome find.
I agree, I think at this point they assume we all know what a scroll bar does so they don’t have to waste time ‘telling’ us what it can do. I like how they go from “2D” design to a “3D” and then back to “2D” know that we understand them.
Interesting. It also shows how graphic/visual design has changed over time.
